The resettlement of populations as a risk mitigation strategy in Guatemala has been documented since the 16th century, but there has yet to be a systematic analysis and mapping of the extent of these processes and their impact on the landscape. The main objective of this project is to map and assess the impact of resettlement processes in the Tzojomá subwatershed from 1998-2013 associated with 4 extreme rain events.
